These general terms explain use of this website and the principles normally clarified in a packaging design proposal. A signed proposal or project agreement takes precedence for commissioned work.
Website information
Educational content is general guidance and is not legal, regulatory, engineering, tax or financial advice. Packaging requirements vary by product, material, supplier and destination market.
Project scope
Services, deliverables, SKU count, languages, revision rounds, timing, fees and payment stages are defined in the written proposal. Work outside the agreed scope may require a revised schedule and fee.
Client-supplied information
The client is responsible for the accuracy and rights to use supplied names, logos, copy, claims, translations, barcodes, images, formulas, dielines and regulatory information. Final market copy should be approved by a qualified adviser where required.
Dielines, printing and production
Artwork should be prepared on the selected supplier’s approved dieline and specification. The printer or packaging manufacturer is responsible for final prepress, tooling, material and production approval. A 3D mockup does not replace a physical prototype, proof or production test.
Approvals and timing
Schedules depend on timely receipt of copy, dielines and consolidated feedback. Approval of a stage allows the project to move forward; later changes may affect completed adaptations and timing.
Intellectual property
Ownership and usage rights are defined in the project proposal. Third-party fonts, stock images, mockup assets or software may remain subject to separate licence terms. Unselected concepts and working methods remain protected unless agreed otherwise.
No guaranteed commercial result
Design can support clarity, differentiation and presentation, but sales, rankings, retailer acceptance, legal approval and production outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
